Congratulations on successfully completing the NJ ASK. After months of hard work, we can finally breathe easy.
Can you believe that it is April already? There are still many fun things to look forward to. In Langauge Arts we
have just started a Roald Dahl Author Study Unit. The children are able to choose from his collection of books! In math we
have just finished up a measurement unit and we now are starting some Geometry. In Social Studies we are continuing to explore
different communities. We are also starting the much anticipated Invention Convention.The children have been discussing problems
and solutions and we are now ready to choose one of the those solutions and make that solution come alive!

Don't Forget....
On April 16th -all students must bring in Poster Board.
Dates to Remember....
April 23rd-students must bring in their invention to the classroom. We will then start working on the poster in class. May
1st- Invention Convention. Parents are welcomed to attend in the early morning.
May 15th- A walking trip to our local Fire Deptartment
June 6th- The Bronx Zoo trip

In the News

I would like to extend a warm welcome to Isaiah Hicks. He was placed in our class as of April 16th.
I would also like to congratulate my whole class for doing an excellent job during our class Battle. During the month
os March and April we challenge the children to read 9 books. The children then participated in Battle of the Books. Each
team did very well. Congratulations to Team Boryeskne for answering 8 out of 9 questions correctly!
All the children are doing an excellent job, so hats off to all!
